Repair bad re-roof job In April I had another firm replace the shingles on
my two sunrooms. Simple job. Took them 3-4 days. The workmanship
was so poor you would not believe me if I described it - and they never
finished. Crew never returned. After waiting for 4 months and listening to
countless promises that they'd return, I decided to hire someone else to
finish the job.
I hired "Roof Pro +" based on reading reviews on Homestars.
A world of difference, starting with the initial visit to review the job.
Frank Soule was here for nearly 1.5 hours looking at what had been
done and discussing how best to proceed. I opted for ripping it apart
and starting from scratch rather than trying to fix the mess. I also decided
to do main structure and garage, which would have to be done in a few
years anyway.
Frank's crew arrived right on time a few days later and had the entire job
done by 3:30 that afternoon. The guys were very careful about not ruining
my wife's extensive flower gardens - without any promting from me. They
injured only one small plant - which I consider a major miracle. After the
work was finished they thoughly cleaned everything, swept the roof, hand
cleaned the eavetroughs, cleaned their smudges and finger prints off the
siding (!!), and spent a lot of time policing the ground for nails and bits of
old shingles.
I now have an attractive looking roof that I don't mind looking at and I no
longer worry about leaks or floods as I did after the last job was done.
